Ed McDonald, P.Eng, MBa

CEO & Founder

Ed McDonald

JetPro Experience: Ed founded JetPro in 1996 while doing consulting work with Canadian Airlines on integrating satellite based flight managment systems (FMS) onboard their Boeing 737-200 aircraft. He expanded JetPro into instrument procedure design which has been the focus since. Ed no longer designs, but keeps a keen eye on changes to criteria and advances in the procedure design world in addition to running JetPro from the business administration side. It is rumoured that he will resume flight checking duties in the near future as well!

Ed is now retired from Air Canada, he still flies - mainly to go explore the places he flew to as a pilot. Nowadays he spends his time cycling the bike trails in the Edmonton area in addition to flying a Nanchang (CJ6A) Warbird.

Dave Miller

Chief Instrument Flight Procedure Designer & Quality Manager

Dave Miller

Base: Comox, British Columbia

JetPro Experience: Dave joined JetPro in 2006 while still serving in the Canadian Armed Forces while based in Cold Lake. His knowledge and software skills were immediately put to good use developing and refining JetPro's design tool. While Dave did plenty of designs, he is now focused on design tool improvements and updates keeping up with the ever changing design criteria in addition to managing the Quality Assurance (QA) process at JetPro.

Dave is now retired from the DND and enjoys the outdoors life out in Comox, BC. He currently owns and flys a beautiful IFR capable Ryan Navion he keeps out on the coast.

Henry Graham, E.I.T.

Procedure Designer

JetPro Experience: Henry joined JetPro as a designer in 2013 after completing his initial design training course ran by the FAA. Previously he had assisted with flight checks and surveying while completing flying training and studying at Royal Military College (RMC) with Canadian Armed Forces. He has worked for JetPro during his career in the forces which took him from Comox, Trenton, and even as far as Kuwait on deployment. He currently resides in Comox working as a Reservist Pilot and Operations Officer in addition to being a qualified A330 First Officer with Air Canada.

Jeremy Bouchard

Procedure Designer

Jeremy Bouchard

Base: Comox, British Columbia

JetPro Experience: Jeremy joined JetPro in 2019 after completing his initial design training at the US FAA facility in Oklahoma City. Jeremy and Henry were classmates at RMC and Jeremy showed a keen interest in instrument procedure design during his time as a Training Captain in the Canadian Armed Forces.

Jeremy actually lives down the street from Henry outside of Comox. He also enjoys the BC outdoors by mountain biking and doing some drone photography. He also secretly enjoys his secret library of almost 1000 sci-fi books!

David "Dave" Scott

Dave Scott

JetPro Experience: Dave joined JetPro as a designer in 2008 while he was serving in the Canadian Armed Forces as a Flight Commander based in Edmonton flying the Bell CH-146 Griffon. Dave currently balances working as a rotary wing MedEvac pilot for Shock Trauma Air Rescue Service (STARS) in addition to JetPro. Dave has been our defacto GIS expert for years assisting with runway surveys, digital map generating, and now he runs our procedure maintenance software system.

Jim Runyon

Flight Validation Pilot

JetPro Experience: Jim joined JetPro in 2016 to take over flight validation department from our previous manager in addition to assisting and mentoring Austen as he went through his training and time building as a junior pilot. Jim has been an invaluable member of the JetPro team for those reasons in addition to his prudence and decades of experience flying.

Ben Rotem

JetPro Experience: Ben is the newest member of the JetPro team - he and Austen are classmates and coworkers at Air Canada Express (Jazz Aviation LP). Ben is undertaking procedure design courses and qualifications in the near future, but in the meantime has filled in with assisting Austen with Flight Validation and runway survey jobs across Canada.

JetPro Experience: Austen has been working in some form or another for JetPro since he was too young to walk. Early work was in the form of letter opening and office mess making as a toddler to eventually assisting with runway surveys and flight validations with his father, Ed. Austen got his design qualifications back in 2013 from the US FAA - at the time being the youngest person to have completed and been qualified in procedure design globally at the age of 17. Since then, he runs the flight validation department, runway survey department, and the digital map and charting systems at JetPro.

Austen lives in Edmonton and a stones throw away from the JetPro "HQ". He enjoys spending time around the hangar working on and flying the CJ6A Nanachang with Ed in addition to losing about 6 golf balls every week golfing!
