Since 1996, JetPro has provided airports and aerodromes with safe and effective instrument procedures. JetPro is an Association of Professional Engineers Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) Permit Holder with a team of Professional Engineers and experienced procedure designers and pilots.
Safety is the top priority and is not compromised at any stage.
Instrument Procedures designed by JetPro have benefitted airports and aerodromes across Canada in numerous ways. Airports and aerodromes experience an increase in airport accessibility in poor weather conditions. Medical Evacuation (MedEvac) flights are able to access these sites in conditions that would otherwise bar them, ultimately saving lives.
These same benefits incentivize air operators to utilize airports and aerodromes, increasing the viability of commercial operations for communities. This is further supported by the reduced initial and ongoing cost when compared to conventional instrument approach equipment. Resource companies that rely upon their airfields for timely crew changes, delivery of spare parts, food, and other cargo enjoy improved access and reduced costs as fewer flights are cancelled or diverted due to weather.
With the ability to complete full designs in-house, JetPro assures quality at every stage of the instrument procedure design process. From surveying, obstacle assessment, procedure design, flight checking, and continued procedure maintenance, JetPro provides an end-to-end solution. Utilizing cutting-edge technology, every stage of the process is completed in an efficient manner with minimal impact on the day-to-day operations of the airport or aerodrome. JetPro will soon be introducing the use of a Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) to gather photogrammetric data around aerodromes.
JetPro employs an extensive quality management system using APEGA's Professional Practice Management (PPM) and ICAO's Instrument Procedure Design Quality Assurance System. JetPro has many firsts - the first organization to implement operational WAAS/LPV approaches, LP approaches and instrument approaches to ice runways in the Arctic. These pioneering efforts have led JetPro to having created and continue to maintain over 250 procedures at over 150 airports and aerodromes across Canada.
